PA Contractor Network Call (Commercial)

The PA Contractor Network supports today’s contractors with resources to grow their businesses while guiding new practitioners as they enter the industry. By joining our calls, you’ll gain:

This call will be focused on providing resources to primarily residential building performance contractors. During this call, we heard:
- Deniz Mustafa from The Associated General Contractors of America, who shared information on the impacts of recent material cost increases and related project bidding changes in the commercial building industry.
- Duquesne Light Company and Allumia, who unveiled a new energy efficiency as a service financing option that southwestern Pennsylvania contractors can use to help close jobs.
- A guided forum for contractors to share feedback and field experiences with one another.

The PA Contractor Network supports today’s contractors with resources to grow their businesses while guiding new practitioners as they enter the industry. By joining our calls, you’ll gain:

- Access to the most up-to-date information about industry trends and incentives
- Connection with workforce development opportunities like workshops and trainings, apprenticeships, and professional certificate programs

This call will be focused on providing resources to primarily residential building performance contractors. During this call, we’ll be hearing from:
- Brook Vernon and Summer Rippel from the Building Performance Association, a Contractor Network partner organization who will be sharing many resources for building performance contractors and new sponsored apprenticeships for energy contractors
- Karris Walker from the National Energy Improvement Fund, a Contractor Network partner organization who will be sharing information about their own Qualified Contractor Network and funding opportunities to support your projects
- Sarah Hagy from the Electrical Association of Philadelphia – a regional organization for southeastern Pennsylvania contractors to get connected with homeowners who need them – who will share energy efficiency appliance rebates that are stackable with other utility rebate programs

Hosted by the Energy Efficiency Alliance, these informal, quarterly gatherings feature guest speakers from workforce development, state agencies, and energy efficiency organizations, offering valuable networking, tax incentives, and workforce development resources.
In 2025, EEA will host alternating sessions geared towards residential and commercial contractors. While April’s convening was geared towards residential contractors, June’s convening was specifically geared towards meeting the evolving needs of commercial building contractors.
The Commercial Contractor Network call agenda includes:

- Low to Middle Income-focused project funding opportunities from Southwestern PA lending partners, Bridgeway Capital
