Alison Steele, Southwest Pennsylvania Environmental Health Project

Alison L. Steele joined the KEEA Board of Directors in January 2015.

Alison is the executive director of the Southwest Pennsylvania Environmental Health Project, a public health organization that focuses on analyzing impacts of oil and gas development in the region. Prior to joining EHP, she led community engagement and policy initiatives related to energy efficiency and home health at Conservation Consultants Inc, managed demand-side energy reduction programs for utility companies through Act 129, and taught English in Fukushima, Japan.

Alison earned her undergraduate degree in Physics from Drew University and her MBA in Sustainable Business Practices from Duquesne University. She holds a seat on the KEEA board, currently serving as Vice President and Chair of the Conference Committee. When she’s not training for a marathon, Alison participates in medieval reenactments and brews mead.
