Get Grounded in Pennsylvania’s Signature Electricity Savings Program

Voted into law in 2006, the Commonwealth’s electricity savings program helps customers in the residential, commercial and industrial categories and delivers $1.44 in benefits for every $1 spent. The program’s success includes:

  • Saving over 430 mega-watts of peak demand from June 2021 through January 2025, and
  • Delivering more than $9 billion in energy benefits for Pennsylvanians in the first 3 phases and expanding the Commonwealth’s energy efficiency industry to almost 73,000 jobs.

With the next Phase currently in the planning cycle, now is the best time to understand how Act 129 delivers energy efficiency, reduces peak electrical load, and provides for demand response strategies. Learn more about which utilities participate – and which don’t – and how they are measured in this overview session designed to give attendees a solid foundation in the program.

Speakers include:

  • Brad Barkdoll, Government Affairs Director at Energy Efficiency Alliance
  • John Kolesnik, Policy Counsel at Energy Efficiency Alliance
  • Jeaneen Zappa, Executive Director at Energy Efficiency Alliance
